3. International Summer School of the School of Chemistry
Organizer: School of Chemistry, Sun Yat-sen University
Program Highlights:
Chemistry, as a central science that studies the transformation of matter at the atomic and molecular level, focuses on creating new substances, exploring their structures, properties, and transformations, and providing essential materials for human activities such as food, clothing, housing, and transportation. Organic chemistry, in particular, is built on carbon skeleton construction and functional molecular design, yielding countless new materials and pharmaceutical agents.
This year’s International Summer School, themed Frontier Technologies and Applications of Organic Chemistry, focuses on precision synthesis and characterization techniques at the molecular level. It offers four major technical training modules covering theoretical computation, spectroscopic analysis, rational molecular design, and cutting-edge advances in synthesis. Through lectures, seminars, and cultural activities, the program brings together outstanding young students from around the world to explore the unknown and build a better future.
Dates: July 11–17, 2026
Who Can Apply: Young students from universities worldwide
Registration: Opens in June 2026
Location: East Campus, Sun Yat-sen University
