1. Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage — The First International Summer Camp on International Sinological Philology

Program Highlights:

This program focuses on the field of digital humanities, emphasizing the integration of humanities and computer science to promote the global dissemination and innovative development of outstanding traditional Chinese culture. Through a series of lectures, salons, group meetings, and workshops, it introduces participants to traditional Chinese classics and international Sinological research to broaden their academic horizons, while providing training in widely used digital tools and AI agents to offer essential technical guidance for academic advancement.

2. Society, Language, And Arts (Sla): Exploring The Diversity Of Chinese Culture In The Greater Bay Area

Organizer: School of Foreign Languages

Program Highlights:

This program is designed to promote "dialogue among civilizations," aiming to showcase the profound heritage and contemporary value of Chinese culture to international students in a comprehensive manner. Through diverse academic courses and immersive cultural experiences, the curriculum covers modules such as Chinese language, history, calligraphy, opera, fine arts, poetry, philosophy, and martial arts. The program integrates various formats, including thematic lectures, cultural workshops, and field trips, to create a high-level platform for international youth to gain a deep appreciation of the excellence of traditional Chinese culture and its modern vitality.

Who Can Apply: Undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, as well as young researchers( no major restrictions). All courses are taught in English, and sufficient English proficiency is required.

3. Walk Among The Classics-Boya College International Summer Camp

Organizer: Boya College

Program Highlights:

This program introduces Chinese Confucian, Taoist, and historical classics. Through systematic study and group discussions, it enables students from both China and the West to engage in dialogues between their own knowledge and Chinese classics such as "The Great Learning", "The Doctrine of the Mean", "The Analects", "Mencius", "The Tao Te Ching", "Zhuangzi", and "Records of the Grand Historian". It helps students grasp the core concepts of Chinese traditional thought and compare them with Western philosophical ideas. Combined with field practice, it promotes experiential reflection on cultural concepts in reality, highlighting the principle of "learning for application and the unity of knowledge and action".

4. International Summer School on Cultural Heritage Tourism and Communication 

Organizer: School of Tourism Management

Program Highlights:

This program brings together experts from multiple institutions to create a comprehensive platform integrating academic discussions, field research, and creative practices. It focuses on core themes including heritage protection mechanisms, value dissemination, and digital technology applications. Participants will conduct field studies at diverse heritage sites such as The Historic Centre of Macao, Kaiping Diaolou and Villages, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Centers of Dragon Boat and Dragon Dance. The initiative aims to cultivate heritage conservation professionals with both global perspectives and local implementation capabilities.

Who Can Apply: Graduate students and senior undergraduates in the field of global cultural heritage, tourism management, event management, and communication studies.
